K-PAM™ HL:
A Soil Fumigant Solution for All Crops
What
is the difference between Vapam® and K-PAM™?
- K-PAM™ is
equal to Vapam® in
its biocidal activity.
- K-PAM™ contains
Metam Potassium (potassium hydroxide), while Vapam® contains
sodium hydroxide.
- K-PAM™ puts
56 pounds of readily available K in the soil, without
the sodium of Vapam®. This
provides potassium as well as better yields
and quality.
- K-PAM™ requires 28% less
gallonage per acre than Vapam®
Where
does K-PAM™ fit?
- Crops
that benefit from potassium, such as
potatoes
- Crops
sensitive to salt (onions, lettuce, broccoli)
- Calcium
carbonate soils
- High
sodium soils
- High
pH soils
- Well-water
irrigated fields
How does it work?
Even
though Vapam® is a long proven product with
a myriad of data to support its use, it does contain
sodium which can have an adverse affect on certain
crops in certain soil profiles. K-PAM™ replaces
the sodium contained in Vapam® with potassium,
freeing up important soil nutrients which the plant
needs.
