AMVAC’s Bob Trogele to Present Global AgChem Trends and Implications on the U.S. Potato Industry at the 2019 Potato Business Summit

Bob Trogele, Ph.D., chief operating officer and executive vice president of American Vanguard, parent company of AMVAC®, will present a global Agchem outlook and implications on the U.S. potato industry at the Potato Business Summit. The Summit will be held at the 2019 Potato Expo in Austin, Texas and streamed live on January 9 at 8 a.m. CST at www.potatobusinesssummit.com.

Trogele’s presentation at the Potato Business Summit will provide an analysis of the global AgChem market, focusing on trends in China, India and North America. He will provide an overview of how these trends will affect the overall U.S. Potato Industry business in the short- and long-term as well as implications on strategic sourcing supply. 

Trogele has a long history of global agribusiness management and leadership positions, with more than three decades of experience in agrichemicals, biotechnology and plant nutrition. He joined AMVAC in January 2015 to focus on growing the business across multiple product lines and geographies, achieving greater profitability and establishing a pipeline of future opportunities through innovation and strategic relationships. As chief operating officer, he oversees sales, marketing and business development on a global basis.

Dr. Trogele has been an adjunct professor at the Berlin School of Economics & Law for 20 years, educating future leaders in global business and society. Dr. Trogele is past vice chair and treasurer of CropLife® of America, past executive board member and treasurer of the Agricultural Retailer Association, past board member of RISE®, and past member of a number of industry associations in Germany, Denmark, and Ireland. Currently, he is the Treasurer and Board Member of the Crop Life Foundation and Board Member Agricultural Retail Association.
