According to the 2022 Census of Agriculture, 36% of producers in the U.S. are women. Throughout the world, women make up a significant part of the agriculture workforce.

At AMVAC, we recognize the pivotal role of women in the agriculture industry. From the fields to the boardrooms and across all sectors like finance, production, STEM, retail, manufacturing, logistics, legal, regulatory, environmental, research, agronomy, health and safety, paramedics, sales, marketing, human resources, customer service, administration, operations and everywhere, women are instrumental in driving progress and innovation.

The unwavering dedication and passion of women in agriculture all over the world inspire us to champion diversity and create spaces where every voice is heard and valued.

March 8 is International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year’s theme, “Inspire Inclusion,” resonates for us at AMVAC because of the role that women play in our industry.

The AMVAC Women’s Network (AWN) began in June of 2023. Together with our 115 members, we are celebrating International Women’s Day. We represent this year’s theme, INSPIRE INCLUSION, through the VISION of our Network:

  • Global Diversity and Inclusion
  • Knowledge Sharing
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Innovation & Collaboration
  • Employee & Civic Engagement

We featured the AMVAC Women’s Network, as well as our female leaders driving change in technology, in the 2023 American Vanguard Sustainability Report. Check out the full story on page 13 onwards.

To all women in agriculture, thank you for being the catalysts for change, inspiring inclusion in our industry and beyond!
